Preservation Students research Updates Fall River, MA Waterfront History

Preservation and Architecture students led by Associate Professor Elaine Stiles, Ph.D., Program Director in Preservation were recognized by the Fall River Mayor and City Council at the City’s Historical Commission February 17, 2026, for their work on the city’s historic waterfront. 

 

Mayor Paul Coogan and the City Council presented Stiles and six students with official citations expressing their gratitude recognizing the impact of their research contributions on t. 

 

In 2024, Stiles and another group of three students Elisabeth Brown, Erin LoMonaco and Georgia Seehaus were recognized for research on Fall River’s original downtown.
